First Look Into Dorm-Life: A Short List of Essentials

And a Few You Might Want...
(in no specific order...)
by Katie

1). Towels and washcloths!!! (During Orientation, my co-blogger and I completely spaced on towels. Thank god my mom was there to save the day!!)

2). Fan (Again, Orientation opened our eyes to a lot of things. The thermostat was broken so during the afternoon, the room was super hot but luckily it cooled down during the night.)

3). Shower shoes (One look at the bathroom floor will reassure you that those dollar sandals were totally worth it.)

4). Multi-outlet power strips (Duh...but seriously, I expected a lot more outlets in the dorm room we stayed in but there were seriously two accessible ones by the bed. It's definitely necessary for people with multiple devices.)

5). More than one pillow (Okay, you might think I'm a total idiot but I seriously only brought one pillow to Orientation and I had to make a late night trip to Walmart so I could sleep.)

6). Headphones (There was a party downstairs so I went to Walmart and bought Beats... highly recommended because they are the best thing since Chicken Nuggets, I swear. <I did not specifically buy Beats because of the party, though. I really wanted them.>)

7). Dry Shampoo (I woke up late, okay?)

8). Drinks (I bought a case of Yoohoo for the dorm because I was tired of going downstairs every time I was thirsty.)

9).  Comfortable T-Shirts (That aren't Pajamas, so it's okay to ride the elevator without looking like a complete slob.)

10). Makeup (I forgot it in the car, not the house so this doesn't really count--does it?)
Didn't enjoy this post? Well, here's a giraffe.

An Introduction to Your Bloggers

Mandy: @Feminstor (Twitter)
Hi, I'm Mandy. I'm an early high school graduate, definitely a Twitter addict, and friendly for the most part...eh. I'm starting school this Fall with my wonderful roomie: Katie. I'm more excited about being out on my own and having my own independence, than for school itself. I'm hoping the roomie will keep me on track; as of now, she has been doing a great job of that.

Katie:@Kattylindfors (Twitter)
Watermelon enthusiast. Probably watch too much Netflix but I've yet to join a support group. English Major because I'm going to write the next money-makin' series and if you're smart, you'll invest now. I accept cash. I like to pretend I'm funny but most of my jokes for the last week have included animal sounds that are unrecognizable. Where I'm excited for school to begin, I'm not ready to commit to the summer reading.
